Flu Vaccine – 50-64yr Age Group (Not at Risk)

NHS England have confirmed that from 1st December, Practices will be provided additional vaccine by The Department of Health and Social Care to vaccinate patients who are aged 50-64 and do not fall into an at risk category.

We will be holding a Saturday clinic on 12th December, which will be focused on this age group only. Appointments will be made available to book online and due to the high level of calls being received we do prefer for patients to book in this way, however can call the surgery if you are experiencing problems booking online.

Messages will be sent out to patients who are eligible, however if you are aged 50-64 years of age and are not in an at ‘risk group’, you can still book an appointment on 12th December without an invite. Patients

who have booked inappropriately will risk being turned away.
At present we only have clinics on Saturday 12th December and have ordered 1000 vaccines. Once we have determined the demand, we will look to add additional clinics and will continue to vaccinate until March 2021.

Patients who are at risk and who would receive an invite annually are asked to continue booking appointments during the week. We still have appointments available.
